We’ve been working with British Corner Shop for a few years now, and it’s always a fun project! British Corner Shop specialise in selling classic tastes of home to hungry Brits living overseas, and we love finding new creative ways to showcase their products.

Their primary marketing channel is social media, allowing them to reach new audiences with visually-appealing foodie content. This also creates one of the big challenges for the business, as their marketing team need to create fresh, relevant content on an ongoing basis to align with their calendar of product launches, seasonal offers and ad hoc trends.

To help British Corner Shop to keep on top of their content creation needs, we work with them on one shoot per month to create fresh-out-of-the-oven content which complements and amplifies their wider marketing activity. Working on a retainer basis also means that the British Corner Shop team always have content ahead of time for their meticulously-planned seasonal campaigns like Christmas and Halloween, freeing up capacity to create more spontaneous content when those golden opportunities arise.

We work on a continual loop of idea creation, storyboarding, planning, filming and editing each month to maintain a consistent flow of content.

The finished videos are used for both organic and paid social media content, to engage and grow their audience. We shoot everything vertically, so it’s truly social-first content that’s ideal for TikTok and Instagram reels, with the ability to crop to square if needed. With Instagram undoubtedly favouring video, it makes total sense to create video that’s designed around social media, rather than forcing a video to fit the mould after it’s already been shot!
