Bristol Neuroscience Festival – 2016

A celebration of all things neuroscience, Bristol Neuroscience Festival which is put on by Bristol University, is an awesome event! As you can see from the video, there was plenty to see and do. This was a fantastic public engagement event and allowed the scientists to communicate directly with the public, telling them about current research and the impact that can have on the world.

As well as the public, schools were invited to the festival which gave children the chance to find out more and hopefully get inspired by the neuroscientists around them! It was our job to ensure we captured the atmosphere of the event, the range of activities and also the range of interviews from various figureheads. As well as this promotional film for the event, we filmed 2 days worth of public lectures and the plenary lecture by Professor Bruce Hood. If you’re interested in finding out why we reach for ice cream during a break up and other awesome neuroscience things, click here.

We had a cracking time there (mainly because I’m a nerd!) and whilst we produce lots of live event films, this one was one of the more interactive ones! For a real look at why creating an event film makes a bunch of sense click here.
