I am Sarah Williams and I am CEO for Mango HR 4Tech Live. My proudest achievement so far is without a doubt developing Mango. So my background is HR, I worked in the Corporate world for quite a few years and actually having to develop a business from scratch has been amazing. I really enjoyed it. And we now have a team of seven people, so I’m really proud.

The main person that inspired me was my mom. So she made me insure that I did things for genuine reasons and to really care about people and to make sure that we’re really trying to make a difference.

My advice to female entrepreneurs would be, be yourself, be genuine, ask for help when you need it, and have a team around you that can ultimately help you and support you.

What people might find surprising about women in business is that you don’t need to be the loudest, most aggressive, most confident person in the room. And it’s about for me, about being genuine and actually having a real passion for doing something and where you’ve got the gaps, you get people around you to fill those.

The vision for Mango is that I want to truly disrupt HR. So everyone not to think about HR as a tears and tissues department that you go that talks fluff and it’s about reactive HR. I really want to be setting the goal of proactive HR that really makes the difference and is fundamental to the business and really, genuinely cares about the people.
