Hello, I’m Michael Evans, Chief thinker and doer at Beyond Consulting, which is a marketing consultancy based in Bristol. I wanna talk to you about value of filming and why you really need as part of your marketing activities, your sales activities and your general customer interaction.

You just need to look at the stats around YouTube, it’s something like the second highest volume of searches, second only to Google. So number one, that shows you, how much people use it to find great content.

The second thing about video is it really enables you to get across your brand and your personality, because people ultimately buy from people. So, if you’re there, on video they can hear you, they can understand who you are as a business, and how they can interact and be part of what you’re doing.

The third thing in there is, it’s great to show complex pieces. So, complex explanations, people can really break it down when they see it on film, they can understand the different steps that get taken into account, and they can understand how it can benefit them. So, particularly if you’ve got a complex product, make sure you’re using film to show people. And that can be really from a high level, right through to very technical.

And then the final piece around it, is it’s greater than use in other pieces of content. So, remember from film, you can create transcripts, we could go into a podcast. You can use it for imagery, you can use it for adverts. Maybe if you’re doing exhibitions and seminars. Make your investment in film.
