One of the really interesting things that you can do with video, is not just put it onto social media for brand awareness and stuff, all of that is great, but, looking at your sales funnel and seeing where it fits along that and seeing where you can create video will help push potential clients along that sales funnel. So when you’re thinking about awareness, consideration and purchase, well what types of content actually will help facilitate pushing your clients from the top of the funnel all the way through to new sales? So, you know, brand awareness is great, but can you also produce testimonial videos to help with the conversions? Can you produce demonstrations? Can you produce reaction kind of style videos? Entertainment? Brainstorm all the ideas that you have, and see where they actually fit along your sales funnel, because then what you’ve got, is a sales and marketing tool. You’re not just creating video for vanity, or for Hollywood, and that is really important, when you start thinking about video in that kind of perspective, and thinking about, well, how does this help my business, and how does this help me generate more business, you’re gonna have a video that’s really effective.

So what are the next steps?

The first step here is to brainstorm all of your ideas. Think about every part of your sales process and look at where you could switch your current strategy to include video.
